Hello all,
I need to build a multi head desktop for 2 users. By multi head, I mean a single box with 2 monitors and 2 SEPARATE x servers running. does any one know any good tutorial on this ?
i have read this but it is very old, dates back to 2006 ! as an example , there is no kdm.conf file !!
any help is appreciated.
That’s an ambitious plan! IIRC, I have seen discussions on this forum before concerning this. It’s certainly possible to start a second X-session (and DE), and I guess configure Xorg to use the second display for the second session, but configuring the input devices (mice and keyboards) could be tricky. I think Google will be your best friend here, along with a lot of patience.
FWIW, I think you’d be better off connecting an old laptop, (or low-end PC), to your main PC as a terminal server config.
