Is it possible to setup a 2FA / MFA for OBS? I’m aware that auth for OBS is handled by idp-portal.suse.com but haven’t seen a relevant option there either.
Given the growing popularity of supply-chain attacks, it seems like an important issue…

As you noted, the auth uses the IdP for the project, and that doesn’t have an option for 2FA - so no, not possible at the present time.

I’d say probably start by asking on the project mailing list. You can open a ticket by e-mailing admin@o.o, but it might be good to have a discussion on the ML about it first.

Good idea.
Personally, I’d like at least a TOTP, which I can easily manage with KeepassXC.
Alternatively, passkey or FIDO2 device options might be worth considering.
