ok i have windows xp on main hard drive and installed 11.1 on a usb drive now i have to have the usb to boot windows , and i have to pick windows from the boot loader , any way to remove this as i don’t need to usb anymore . thanks
Ok you replaced the generic MBR with the grub MBR on the HD when you installed. This requires that the Linux /boot is available which is on your USB device. You need to use a Windows disk and repair the MBR to get it back to booting direct to Windows.
