Multi boot Windows XP ubuntu and OpenSUSE

************I have a 80 gb hdd 30 gb has been given for windows then i have installed ubuntu by giving 5gb home partition and 6 gb root partition. now i have 20gb primary partition created for PCBSD. hence i have decided to use Opensuse into that partition along with other OS. i tried to install Opensuse before installing windows to the primary partition. I gave the option write Grub to windows partition. i need to overwrite windows. it removed the ubuntu grub and wrote the Opensuse grub. now i have installed windows and Ubuntu. My question is if i give the custom option at partitioning and select to install Opensuse grub to the PCBSD primary partition Please note i have created two primary partition one for windows and other for PCBSD. This PCBSD partition is where i want to install OpenSUSE permanently. will the openSUSE grub overwrite the grub which was installed by ubuntu.

The first part that confuses me is your partitioning, can you show us

fdisk -l

from a root terminal?

Disk /dev/sda: 82.3 GB, 82348277760 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 10011 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x90909090

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 1912 15358108+ c W95 FAT32 (LBA)
/dev/sda2 1913 7390 43999013+ f W95 Ext’d (LBA)
/dev/sda3 7390 10012 21060522 a5 FreeBSD
Partition 3 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/sda5 1913 3442 12289693+ b W95 FAT32
/dev/sda6 3443 5639 17647371 b W95 FAT32
/dev/sda7 5640 5883 1952768 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/sda8 5883 6515 5076992 83 Linux
/dev/sda9 6515 7390 7029760 83 Linux

Where sda8 is ubuntu home partition and sda9 is ubuntu root partition sda3 is where i wanted to install OpenSUSE

My question is if i give the custom option at partitioning and select to install Opensuse grub to the PCBSD primary partition Please note i have created two primary partition one for windows and other for PCBSD. I see no problem with this - other than it’s not a pretty sight that partitioning.
