I am using OpenSuse 11.0, and installed xmtr from its “install software” option. Now I am able to run its GUI by logging as root.
Could you please tell me if I can use its console version, so that I can use su to run it in console if logged in as other user.
does the traceroute work?
or install it with yast .
then mtr may also work
Yes traceroute is working. I have tried to install it with yast but it is asking for OpenSuse Media disk.
i just found mtr is not installed.
dont you have network connection?
zypper install mtr
if you want gui also install gtk version also
use yast install software
i am just doing that now
yes it works nicely
it is called xmtr in the menu
