mp3 player

Hello all,

I’ve gone through 2 iPod Nano 1st generations in the past 6 months, they just stop working(won’t turn on). Even after attempted to reset it, which it doesn’t reset because it doesn’t turn on.

Anyway, I am in the market for a new MP3 player, just looking for a 2 gig model that will allow me to put my playlists on it for the classes that I teach.

What are some good MP3 players that work well with linux. I’m even up for hacking one to put a new firmware on it if need be.

I would like to spend under $100 for a player. any suggestions?

Good? Well… the Sansa e2x0 (e.g. e260, e280) works fine with Linux and
can be gotten for less than $50 USD.

It’s not the greatest player, but it does work… I’d say it’s
better than average. Can’t beat the size and the battery life.

I think it does playlists …

Has anyone used/seen the Sony NW-S205F player:

I’m curious to see if this works for Linux.
