Mp3 player for OpenSuse

Hi,

Just wondering what people are using as a MP3 player with Amarok? I used to use a Cowon iAudio X5 since it was the only player that supported Ogg files. I have a tonne of files in ogg format. I don’t know why I encoded them in Ogg, but there you go…

My collection is also only OGG. I’ve been very happy with my 8GB Sansa Fuze, which works nicely with Amarok & OGG, as long as you force it into MSC mode, not MTP.

I like Sansa myself, they make a decent MP3 player.
But I dont use .ogg, I still use MP3’s as my main audio format as I never know if I might pick up a player that only works with mp3.

I have the iriver SPINN. My entire collection is in ogg and flac files, and some occassional APE files that I haven’t have time to convert yet. It works flawless with all, except that cover art can’t be displayed with ogg files.

I believe any player that can run the Rockbox alternative (and OSS)
firmware can handle ogg formats - I don’t use the format often so don’t
remember offhand (though rockbox is bootable on my iPod and I do use it
quite a lot), but a quick google search suggests that it is a supported
format.
