When is the next Mozilla Firefox version 17.x coming to OpenSuSE 64 bit Tumbleweed? It was released this past Tuesday and I am still waiting for it to be added to Tumbleweed.

Firefox is not included in Tumbleweed, as the normal openSUSE update
channel is quite good at including Firefox updates.
Hope this helps,

There is an official Mozilla repo available of software.opensuse.org which has the latest Firefox and other Mozilla products. That’s what I do since the main repo freezes package versions except for incremental updates e.g. 16 -> 16.1
Here is the 1-Click URL:

as far as i can see this is incorrect information.
if i correctly understand the instructions on how to set up one’s repos
for Tumbleweed (given here:
https://en.opensuse.org/Tumbleweed) then you should already
have the *current* update repo enabled and refreshed, and therefore have
access to Firefox 17 when it is pushed to the 12.2 update repo

Wrong. Version numbering in Chrome and FF doesn’t work that way anymore. Updates on FF come through the update repo. WARNING: using other repos is at own risk.
Sorry, I didn’t want to give anybody the wrong information. I’m fairly new to openSUSE and I sort of saw it that way and I see what you guys mean. Yesterday when I updated my system the Firefox 17 packages showed up. I guess it just took a couple of days to get into the official repos.
So again, my bad and sorry!
