I have some problems with all drivers from ati since the 9.3 version.
Installing is not the problem. But with the first boot I can move the login screen while going to the corners or the top / bottom of the screen.
After login the same problem until the desktop environment is fully loaded. After that everything is fine…with only one thing.
My wallpaper with the solution of my screen 1280x1024 is not in the center of the screen…it is expendend to the right. There is no possibility to get it back in shape.
When I use the 9.3 driver everything is fine.
I use Gnome on openSUSE 11.1 with an Radeon 4870.
