Move window buttons from previous Ubuntu isntallation

I once run Ubuntu w/Unity on this laptop and then switched to openSUSE Tumbleweed w/Xfce. I keep my /home directory in another partition so I don’t overwrite it when changing distro or version.

Recently I added the Gnome desktop environment and somehow Gnome kept the titlebar buttons (close, minimize and maximize) on the left side.

Does anybody know how to reset my Gnome so the buttons go where they belong.

I have installed Gnome-tweak, but don’t see any option to change it.
I have installed Gnome-conf but don’t see the option anywhere there.

I have asked this in the Ubuntu forums and so far none of the suggestions have worked (gnome-conf and gnome-tweak).

Does anybody here have an idea of where this setting could be reset to put the close/etc. buttons on the right side?

Changing the theme does not switch it either.

I know I first wanted just the buttons to be moved, but now I see more items are not working properly.

For example, the ON/OFF sliders, like the ones in Gnome tweaks, shows the “ON” and “OFF” but does not show the slider indicator. And there are other items as well (borders around buttons and windows, etc.).

So I have decided I just want to blow away ALL of the Gnome settings and revert it to the default style. I can go through and customize it myself afterwards.

I am running Gnome 3.20 on openSUSE Tumbleweed.

No issues here with adding via the tweak tool on right-hand side of windows, this is a straight GNOME 3.20 install. I’m guessing it’s some XFCE tweaks playing… If you create a test user and login with GNOME, does it replicate?
