same problem with kernel 2.6.36

any idea?

I use the synaptiks module of KDE 4.5.4 to stop the touchpad when a external
mouse is plugged in. This way I do not accidently click with the touchpad.
But you can configure this behaviour in the KDE systemsettings.

I’m not sure why the the external mouse is not working every time. I think
there was a kernel bug with USB mice but that should be fixed in your kernel
version.
