Hi all,

I can’t find the settings to change either of the above two properties… Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Joe

please share with us which operating system and version you are
using, as well as which desktop environment and version…

I’m using OpenSUSE 12.3 KDE.

Graphics hardware is ATI/AMD X1xxx series (I can’t remember which exactly) with the ‘radeon’ driver installed by default.

Windows lets me do it through ‘Control Panel’. Why would OpenSUSE make this common modification difficult to change?

Thanks in advance,

Joe

then to set your mouse speed do this:

open Personal Settings - Configure Desktop > Hardware > Input Devices
> Mouse > Advanced…
and set the speed multiplier you wish…don’t overlook the button
near the bottom named “Help” (if you need some)

to set the screen resolution try this open Personal Settings -
Configure Desktop > Hardware > Display and Monitor > Size & Orientation

and pick from the offered screen “Size:”

if the size and refresh rate do not offer what you expected to see
that is probably because the ‘radeon’ driver in use is the open
source driver and you might have more settings available with a
proprietary driver…if you wanna try that i’d suggest you do some
reading about that in the forums here…before beginning…
