Mouse pointer icon do not change when windows is resizable

Hi, i’m using VM tumbleweed on virtualbox (host is Windows 11) and have this problem:
when i pass mouse pointer on resizable windows it does not change its shape to show that windows can be resized. I have “mouse integration” enabled.
I tried to change cursor theme from “Adwaita” to “Redglass” but nothing changed; when i login i see Redglass cursor for a while when gnome menu bar i visible then if i open application and desktop resize, it seems that cursor icon used is Windows 11 one (as usual).
If i disable “mouse integration” and enter in environment clicking inside, the pointer icon disappear.
I have another VM openSuse Leap 15 on my system and this problem is not present.
Can you help me?

I asked the same question about two weeks ago here; the culprit is X11. Use Wayland when logging in, and that problem is gone. But in exchange you can get a set of new ones, like the mouse pointer suddenly increase in size (5 times bigger than normal, and som onconsistent behavior when trying to grab the rim. That ennoyed me so much that I reverted to X11.

Hi @hermviaene i am using wayland

env | grep wayland
XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland
WAYLAND_DISPLAY=wayland-0

This is a new feature to help find the pointer. It can easily be configured and/or switched off in systemsettings.

Accessibility->ShakeCursor->Shake cursor to find it

Difference: my host is Mageia, not Windows.

Hi @hui if i increase pointer cursor quite at maximum size in Accessibility panel the cursor become the “linux” one (Adwaita) and change when over resizable windows as expected. We’ d like to have this behaviour for normal size -)
