mouse left click problem

Hi,

i have 2 Acer M-UAY-ACR2 mouse.

The First is attached to Acer Veriton T661 with OpenSuse 12.2 and work fine.

The Second is attached to an assembed pc.

Before i have installed opensuse 12.2 and the mouse left click is a tragedy:

  1. if i click one more the left button double click start bye self.
  2. if i press down left button to select some folder (f.ex.) when i release the left button the selection disappears.
After i have installed opensuse 12.3 and the tragedy persists:
  3. now sometime click on left mouse button don’t produce nothing also.
This problems are present on KDE, XFCE and Gnome Shell environments
I think the problem not is in DE, but in X Server.
I have edit /etc/sysconfig changing WHEELS to 1 and BUTTON to 4, but nothing changed.

lsusb of mouse

Thank you for your help.

Try switching the mice. If the symptoms move with the mouse, you may have a hardware issue.
Another option it to try a different USB port.

Probably a silly question, but you have tried swapping the two mice over
to prove it isn’t a faulty mouse haven’t you?
