I have a newer HP x360 Spectra laptop with the latest tumbleweed updates on the Gnome Desktop. Leap 42 did not support the Intel video driver.
Anyways, when the lid is closed, the touchpad is randomly clicking on stuff. I do not put my laptop to sleep as I often close and re-open lid as I’m up and out of my desk frequently (and sleep/resume was flaking 50% of the time).
When I re-open the lid, all sorts of things can be clicked and opened like new browser tabs etc. If I have all apps closed, it still seems to be right-clicking an opening the display settings. I do have the screen lock when lid closed.
So I have two questions.
- Has anyone seen this behavior? I do not see random click with Win10 and a closed lid. And there is no external mouse.
- Without fixing the root cause, is it possible to disable the touchpad when the lid is closed and re-enable when the lid is open.
