Hi,
I tried to mount a NFS share folder from another subnet.
The NFS client on my SUSE 11 server could not detect it. The folder is in a different subnet.
Is some one know how to make it work?
Thank you.

Can you ping the ip of the NFS server that sits on the different subnet?
If so, then you at least have a path established… if not, I’d begin
troubleshooting that.
Thank you for the reply.
Yes, it cane be pinged.

That’s good. That means you apparently have route to it… which we would
be one possible reason why NFS would not work. But other than that, it
should work. Do you have any error logs? Do you see an attempted mount on
the server? Any logs there?
From the NFS client, it could not detect it. I tried typed in the IP address, got the error said the path was invalid.
Any idea?
Thank you.
Thank you.
I think I got it now.

What was the issue? (just curious)
