Monitorix installation Opensuse 11

Hi,

I am using Opensuse 11 and have configured my server to use the xen hypervisor. I have been search the web to find a Monitorix install howto, I can find howto’s for Ubuntu and RedHat Centos ect but no opensuse.

As you can see there is an Any platform package but OpenSuse is not in the list, can you help?

Currently the Any platform package covers the following systems:

FreeBSD (minimal support)
Debian
Gentoo
Slackware
The RRDtool and Perl-RRDtool are required as part of the main package. They can be obtained from:

Fedora project
Dag Wieers repository
RRDtool project
There is an archive of old versions here.

Hmmm … I’m not familiar with this Monitorix project but … the website obviously expects you to download the source and compile it. Now, of course you know how to do that, right?

Hi,

HI have never compiled anything from source but can give it a go. I previously installed Monitorix on Ubuntu without compiling from source and thought there was a way to do the same with opensuse.

Thanks
Dennis

Hi,

Can you point me to some instructions on how to compile in opensuse 11? As opensuse is my xen Dom0, if I install Monitrix in my Dom0 I should be able get an overview of resource usage which would be useful. If you know of any other piece of software I would be grateful if you could enlighten me.

Thanks
Dennis
