Monitor Problems?

Dooglo - Pastebin.com

The output that you have captured is 1701 seconds into the uptime. We’re interested in what happens when X-starts, within the first 60 seconds generally. However, it is clear you have a likely EDID issue.

It might be simplest for you to consider upgrading your monitor, or at least trying a new VGA cable, than torturing yourself with this diagnostic path.

Okay. Thanks for your time and effort. I will take that into consideration and see what I can do.

Thanks,

Well, for some reason this morning when I started up this machine and set resolution to 1024 by 768 4:3, it’s working. No more left side missing. I guess something fixed itself? Thanks for your help

D.

Some monitors have a menu where the aspect ratio (4:3, 16:9, auto etc) can be selected. Perhaps yours was set to auto and has correctly detected the signal this time. Anyway, not an openSUSE issue.
