Hello to All,
I am new here on the forum and a quick question that I can not seem to find the answer to. I need to know in 11.1 if a Zoom Fax Modem Model 2925 PCI 56k Modem will work?
Thanks so much,
James.

With the vastly diminishing use of analogue modems, along with your version of openSUSE which is now EOL, I’m not sure that it will possible to obtain support here.
Have a look at Zoom Linux Support
I’m not familiar with the model in question, but does it appear as a serial device? You could see if any serial device nodes exist with
ls -l /dev/ttyS*
This may also detect the presence of a hardware modem (but not a winmodem device):
wvdialconf
Some of these Zoom modems use Connexant chipsets, which may supported by Linuxant drivers. You can find out what chipset your device uses with
/sbin/lspci -vv
Just look at the entry pertaining to your modem device.
Google will be your best friend here.

Try “hwinfo --modem”. If that works, the answer is yes. If no, then no.
In general, internal modems are “pseudo” modems, aka winmodems, and do not
work.
