Using Suse 11.0 and 11.1, I try to use the virtio network device. However, does anybody has an idea how to set this up under SuSE, since suse complains that it needs an physical eth0 or wlan0 device and does not not allow to setup the virtio network device.
I started with ‘-net nic,model=e1000’ and when all was working well, changed it to ‘-net nic,model=virtio’. It does get an IP address, but I have no connection to … anything but itself.
Yes, I made sure that all virtio device drivers are loaded.
Any suggestions?
