Running iOS 11.4.1 (it started earlier). At some point I cleared Safari history and since then when I press login on forum start page I get some login form where my user does not work. I can workaround it by first logging in on some other page (like bugzilla) which does authenticate me using micro focus single sign on after which I can use forums under my account.
Anyone seen it too? I can send screenshot of login page if needed.
I haven’t been able to replicate that behaviour here. I just cleared my Safari history on my iPhone and selected attempted to login, which redirected me to the login.microfocus.com page.

I don’t know about on iOS, but on Android, there is no integration with
the mobile template for the single sign-on solution. You need to switch
to a non-mobile template in order to log in.

What baffles me, somehow it did work in the past and ones I was redirected to the single sign on page too.
Is it possible to fix it? Unfortunately, I do not see any way to switch back to mobile view and full version is hard to use on small screen.

I’ve never seen it work, but I don’t spend a lot of time using the forums
via the web, much less via a mobile browser.
You can change the theme to the mobile theme, but I’ll have to look again
at how you do that once logged in.

Apparently if there is valid cookie, login manages to use it (after several redirections) without going via password request form. Sometimes it works for several days. This probably explains how it worked before (except I still do not know how cookie lifetime is determined).
As I was affected also by the missing mobile template, using Firefox on Android (61.0.2), I’ve found the following way as an easy workaround for me:
When on forums.opensuse.org in mobile view, not logged in already:
Doing this, Firefox refreshes selected page on mobile view, and you’re shown as logged in.
