Missing programs from program/applications list

Hi not new to SUSE but have not used in a while.

Just recently wanted to try SUSE again downloaded 12.1 stable when I started checking out available programs

I was searching for a program for my webcam (used as a security camera) Kopete was the only program available it seemed.

  • :\

but I searched for the program it’s not listed in the application tree!

Yast shows it being installed

help says look in applications-internet-chat but no Kopete the webcam I use for security shows up in hardware.

yet I need a program “that allows me to operate it as a security cam”

Can anyone help me work this out.

Thanks

Hi
Would that be a moment in time or a stream? If it’s just a moment in
time, the cli utility stream does this or something like
grabby (http://www.vanheusden.com/grabby/).

Hi thanks for responding sorry for the late come back to many passwords and locked out yesterday
I checked out grabby it appears it will allow photos to be captured but I was intending to record video and be allowed to save it for review if needed.
The cli utility stream what about it?
