Hi all,
I just installed Leap 15.2.
I had to install some applications like: Ardour6, webcamoid, droidcam.
I manually added the repositories.
I used Yast to install this applications, but no item was created in KDE plasma menu after these installations.
Any help would be kindly appreciated.

You mean you expected that items in the main KDE menu should have been added for these hree applications?
I do not know them, but are you sure that all these programs are intended to be used from the end-user GUI?

Yes they are all GUI applications.
I come from Ubuntu 18.04 and I never had such problems.
Should I switch to Gnome?

It happened with chromium too.
I can run it from console, but I can’s see the new entry in menu.

Yes , now I have done it, but I still can’t see chromium in KDE menu. Why?
Can you search for chromium in the search tab of the kmenu?
As User:
kbuildsycoca5
You know that you can add menu items manually???

He probably knows, but I am with him that the installation of a GUI program should normally add this automagicaly to the main menu of the end-users DEs. I do not know the details of how it works, but I assume it is specified in opendesktop.org .

after giving this command I had:
kbuildsycoca5
kbuildsycoca5 running...
Now I can see the newer menu entries.
Should I run this everytime I boot up opensuse?

Should be done after Installation of a desktop-file automatically…

Well, I tried and it worked also after reboot, with the single console command, nothing more.
The thread is closed,
Thanks.
