Mirror screen/cast screen to Smart-Tv

I am looking for an application with this function in Tumbleweed; similar to functions available for mobile phones, Apple OS and Windows.

What exactly do you need? If you are using Gnome or Plasma you can easily mirror the screen to a connected external display…

AFAIK there is not some generic integrated desktop function, but … for me it works fine from

  • vlc → ChromeCast / GoogleTV : Playback - Renderer
  • and from google-chrome: from the options menu pick Cast/Share

Which desktop environment are you using?

For Gnome, there is gnome-network-displays that provides an “experimental implementation of Wi-Fi Display (aka Miracast).”

From a quick search online, I became aware of a standalone WDS application called miraclecast that can be used to stream or mirror your desktop (whether running on Wayland or X11) to a Miracast-compatible receiver. No official package AFAIU.
