After reinstalling Leap 42.1, I cannot get the subject printer to work. I have configured it both in YAST and from the local host 631 site. The driver is installed and it is listed as ready to print, but when I print I get a “filter error” . I have tried to configure it many many times with no change in the error. The driver is from the Linux OpenPrinting project. It is similar to the problem I had previously https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/500253-Printing-problems-with-Minolta-Page-Pro-1250W but I cannot resolve the problem like I did before.

When I run systemctl status cups: it shows that cups is running

Restart cups with

I do not know why there is a reference to color. This is a B&W only laser printer. Why is min12xxw not found? Where is it suppose to be?
You might need to install the driver package first:
http://www.openprinting.org/driver/min12xxw
The rpm package you want is called ‘openprinting-min12xxw-0.0.9-10lsb3.2.x86_64.rpm’
It may also be necessary to do the following (as root)
ln -s /opt/OpenPrinting-min12xxw/bin/min12xxw /usr/bin/min12xxw
