Minidlna package not functional

I recently reinstalled my 13.2 box to Leap 42.1, updated all packages. When I try to install minidlna from the repo, it won’t install because it was compiled with libavformat.so.55 and 56 was installed:

Problem: nothing provides libavformat.so.55()(64bit) needed by minidlna-1.1.4-2.1.x86_64

When I force the install, the software won’t start and throws a “you have 56 and you need 55” error.

If I run zypper install libavformat55 to downgrade, there is no package found.

Do I need to report this as a bug somewhere?

I have tried compiling it with current libraries and the 1.1.15 version of minidlna but I’m having problems with it parsing files – it throws a segfault out of the libavutil.so after indexing about 100 videos.

Any help would be appreciated . . .

Thanks
Kathi

Hi,

I’m using minidlna version 1.1.5 from Packman for oS 42.1. Works without problems.

While looking for libraries to install the version from packman, I found that I was missing the graphics repo. When I looked at the official lists of repos, I did not see it. It is also not in the list of additional ones.

zypper ar http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/graphics/openSUSE_Leap_42.1/ graphics

Thank you for pointing me to packman – I’ve got it all running now.
