Migration to Evergreen

I haven’t been paying close attention but I’m ready now to update the 32-bit
laptops here to Evergreen from 13.1. The Evergreen support page caught me
by surprise with the entry about migrating from 13.1:

"There is nothing to do at all. Updates will arrive in the usual update
repository. "

Pretty plain, but am I correct in reading this to mean that the machines
running 13.1 are being automagically merged into the Evergreen stream?
Makes a lot of sense to do it that way but I’ve been known to misread plain
English before…

Pretty much, except that it is not “automagic”. Somebody is going to be working behind the scenes to keep those security fixes coming. My thanks to the evergreen team for what they do.

Or, yes, automagic to you … but hard work by the Evergreen gang. I, too, would like to express my appreciation of their hard work.:slight_smile:

A hearty second to that thought! This makes using the distro pretty much
painless - if you disregard the self-inflected griefs we cause ourselves.
