Migrate to added drive

openSUSE LEAP 42.1 KDE

I have a reasonably stable 42.1 installed on drive sda2 in my desktop box. Now I want to install a second (not SSD) drive and migrate 42.1 to it. I am aware of the changes I must make to fstab and grub2, but I need to know what directories I should NOT copy to the new drive.

Advice would be appreciated.

Depends on how you copy if from the running system then do not copy /dev /mnt /proc /sys /tmp. Except for /tmp all are virtual directors that are not on the disk and are created at run time
