I’ve been a fan of dual-pane file managers for years.
I installed Krusader and I like it much better than
Konqueror. I was surprised that mc command wouldn’t
open midnight commander. I did a few searches on net. I checked the repos. Nothing.
Looks like mc is nowhere to be found, except for some old forum posts
from 2006 or thereabouts. So when did openSUSE dump this great little app. Btw, I’m using openSUSE 10.3…
It should be on the install CD but you download it directly for 10.3.
They didn’t dump the Midnight Commander. 
I’m running 10.3 also, and running a copy operation to a portable hard disk with mc as I’m typing this. Go into Yast Software Management and run a search for mc, and it will come up. It is not installed by default in 10.3.
