Hello,
My sound is working correctly, but the mic doesn’t work… while it’s
working with windows xp.
The sound is working perfectly, even if it’s not loud enough from me
I tried recording with skype and arecord command line, same result.

if you are trying to use an internal mic, those are notorious for not
working under Linux.
IMHO you need to carefully check your mixer, especially items I
highlighted in red. I do not have your hardware , so I do no know if
they matter. But IMHO their setting should be considered.

Hi Heloma,
I also had the same problem in 11- I am using 11.1 now and encountered
it on here too.
The problem appears to be PULSEAUDIO!However there is a soloution.
I found it the other day and I have my mic working with Skype etc.
the link is here:
‘Skype and OpenSuSE 11.1… - Open Source Software and Linux’
(http://tinyurl.com/bsclm6)
I am sure that it will work for you too.
I was a little confused as when I went to look in my sound setting it
identified the mobo and there were some settings on there in Yast-Sound
I left those alone and changed only the last option to snd_hda_intel. I
removed all of Pulse audio according to the article and I use ALSA for
my satellite card etc and music now.
Hope this helps.
thank you for the reply…
I don’t have a laptop, it’s a del gx 260 desktop.
Anyways, I activated the capture on my sound settings and checked the
PULSEAUDIO, nothing is installed excepts the libpulse0.
