Meta key on Thinkpad 600X

Hello,

I have 2 questions because there is a balloon message on the home screen of 12.1 that says I can invoke the Activity Manager by pressing meta-Q
but -
There is no documentation of what key might possibly be the meta key

  • and -
    If the meta key should turn out to be the “windows” key, the ThinkPad 600x and many other ThinkPads don’t have a “windows” key.

Question 1 - What is the meta key?
Question 2 - What would be a good substitute for the non-existent windows key and what is the procedure to remap the keyboard?

you may want to google xmodmap as that can aid you in re-mapping keys.
