Why can I merge windows when I use the oxygen window decorations but not with any other window decoration that I download and install? What exactly is oxygen doing that allows it to do this merging, I would love to be able to use it on some other theme as oxygen is not one I like much.
In short: no one will tell you without knowing the details, or seeing output, simply because it would be a shot in the dark.
My shot: downloaded decorations don’t match your KDE version.

Fair enough, is there any way to figure out what version of KDE a
decoration matches? I’ve looked on kde-look but none of the themes
mention what version of KDE they are “for”. And just for the record, I
am using openSUSE 13.1, KDE 4.11.3.
Is there any way for me to debug this problem? In oxygen you can just
middle click and drag the title bar to merge but this is not possible in
any other theme I have tried.
