Media check "error reading sector"

Hi! I got “error reading sector 512” when I run “Media check”, next message is “file:/var/adm/mount/boot/i386/ common: SHA1 sum wrong”. I have burned several DVD disks, but now one have passed “Media check” with a OK! Can I go on with the install or should i abort?
Best regards

If it passed the media check and this is repeatable, then go ahead. Each of the packages is checksummed too so you will get a message if something goes wrong.

But if you made a lot of bad media, you have poor media, you burnt too fast, you have a bad burner, or you have a bad reader. So keep a look out.

Have you used md5sum to check the iso file? If your burn process is
always failing on the same file, it may be wrong in the download.

Do NOT start the installation until your media can pass the check.
Why would you want to start with defective files? I’m assuming that
you meant to say “… but not one have passed …”

do not begin install until you have GOOD install media, read the below
linked thread to learn how to check the downloaded .iso BEFORE you
burn the disk…AND, then how to ALSO check the disk after burning…
(and hints on burning: use good media, burn at lowest rate you can)

Thanks for your help!
I have checked the iso file with md5sum and it matched, perhaps my dvdburner doesn’t burn correct! I trying to burn at x1, but I don’t have that choice at Brasero.
