maximised window out of the screen cutting close button

on my desktop PC when I maximize the window it result cutted at the right cutting the close button like in this photo:
https://paste.opensuse.org/92386071
if you look at the top right the close button is absent.
it should be due to the left panel added, if I remove it the maximizing process goes well.
how can I have both the left panel and the maximizing process working?

In your image I can see the close (X) button. It is a screenshot, right? If so, the image is being correctly generated, but truncated between your driver and monitor.

If you switch the left panel to the right the display is still truncated?

Anyway, it shouldn’t be a hardware problem, as the display is correct without the side panel, so perhaps a bug report is in order.

From this VERY old thread https://www.sharkyforums.com/showthread.php?316495-Wrong-monitor-detected the OP had a monitor incorrectly recognized as a Novatek 563A, just like in your screenshot. Is that actually your monitor brand? The OP problem was a faulty power supply.

yes, it’s a screenshot, it has been a surprise for me, I didn’t see the picture carefully to see the close button, I supposed it was like the screen…

yes the display is still truncated

I solved pressing a button on my screen called (I discovered when I pressed becouse appeared on the screen) auto adjust…

Glad to be of help :).

It is, however, strange that the display is correct without the side panel. If it was just a question of incorrect screen configuration on the monitor/TV itself, it should truncate regardless. Perhaps your monitor is auto-adjusting every time you insert/remove the panel? It might still be worth a bug report, I’m not sure.

ILL troubles with VGA input on the monitor. With that user needs to adjust position and etc.
But output is DP? So OP is using active converter?

yes output is VGA
