Logged into my Mate desktop on Tumbleweed this morning and later discovered the mate settings daemon had crashed 5 times in the space of a few minutes. The crashes don’t seem to affect operations on the desktop. I guess systemd just restarts the daemon. It seems to be completely at random. the only way I know about the crashes is to check /var/lib/systemd/coredump . Tried to login to bugzilla but it kept telling me I was not qualified for the system ??? Nothing has been changed on the desktop, except I stopped using the plank dock and turned back on desktop icons, but I don’t think this has anything to do with the problem as it has happened in the past.
