Marvell issues after 13.2 to Leap 42.1 upgrade

Wondering if anyone might be able to point me in the right direction. I started encountering lowered download speeds on the box and did some digging and discovered this issue.

My card is identified as
05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88E8056 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 12)

I’m getting recurring messages like the below. Have noted a decrease in download speed. Have noted hangups of network based applications (fail2ban)

Has this problem existed for a short or long time?
What might have happened just prior to your noticing decreased speed?
Have you updated your openSUSE system? - Try running the following command followed by a reboot

zypper up

Besides the above,
Has anything changed on the network recently, particularly the device you are plugged into, ie switch, hub, whatever… and is that device Gigabit capable?
Have you checked the integrity of your network cable… ie the plugs in each end, not close to major EMF sources like big speakers?
