many apps don't start - new install, 11.1 (gnome)

frequently my app icons will not start an application.
Sometimes, the messages log indicates a problem, but sometimes it doesn’t.

How do I figure out what is going on when there is no entry in messages log. I’m trying to start Seahorse to set up a gnupg key. Both are installed.

EDIT: I just typed ‘seahorse’ from terminal, and get this error, but not sure why…

seahorse: error while loading shared libraries: libgpgme.so.11: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

same thing with ‘gnomesu seahorse’

I uninstalled, then installed again, making sure to select the opensuse 11.1 oss instead of the gnome stable. not sure if gnome stable repo was the issue or not, but the reinstall fixed the dependency.
