Hi, are you aware if man page for susepaste has been repaired or LC_CTYPE=C man susepaste is still required to see the man page correctly?
For me man susepaste
is giving the expected output on Tumbleweed, nice formatted.
At the same time echo $LCTYPE
returns nothing, at the same time:
> localectl
System Locale: LANG=en_NL.UTF-8
VC Keymap: us
X11 Layout: us
X11 Model: pc105+inet
X11 Options: terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp
There was an issue with hyphen minus signs… various - signs that are not - but hyphen minus
…
I’ll look into it more deeply again at some point and find the mailing list topic brought up about this.
-Thank you
My first post in this thread should have had code tags LC_CTYPE=C man susepaste
was needed to display the susepaste man page
properly due to the - characters used when the man page
was created. See here if able > https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/list/users@lists.opensuse.org/thread/T4RXSXCLZADSFSVJHUJ6HFNUA3UPIVKL/#H5IXGF5M4SAADVZE36CNLOES3I5GRDEG it is long but interesting.
Just wondering if this ever actually got a fix implemented as of yet.
-Regards
That list is by no means a source of truth. What counts is real bug reports.
Ok, point noted.
-Seasons Greetings to you
