Last week I used MANDVD to make a slideshow of some pictures. Generating the slideshow went without a problem.
I tried it again this week (after updating quite a number of packages) and now MANDVD gives a ffmpeg error on generating.
Any idea what causes this problem? Did I update a newer version of ffmpeg that now does not work together with MANDVD?
I need a program to make a nice slideshow of my photos. ManDVD looks like it can do the trick, but for me it does not work right now.
So I even borrowed a windows laptop to use moviemaker. It is a really cool program that is really user friendly, and has a great number of cool options and it is really fast (ouch, it hurts to say all that :’() but the fact I can only save to windows media format is a big minus again. But for now I am stuck with it. Would be soooo nice if we would have something like it on linux!
Anyway, I would like to use MANDVD, so I hope someone can point me to a solution.
Hi,
Yesterday, I was searching for a solution for the same problem. But didn’t find anything…
Then I went searching for the latest software version of ffmpeg and dvd-slideshow and guess what. There was a more recent version available. After upgrade of these packages, all worked fine.
ffmpeg version 0.4.9.16438svn-20090105.pm.1938-x86_64
dvd-slideshow version 0.8.2-2.pm.1-noarch
Hopefully, this works for you as well
