MAN page not loading "Can't create temp directory, exiting..."

Hello,
I am using OpenSuse 11.2 on Virtual Machine(Vmware). Till couple of days back “man” command was working fine but, now it throws error stating “Can’t create temp directory, exiting…”.

The man page folder is present in “usr/share/man”.

Please help

Thanks a lot !

11.2 is old as sin and hasn’t been supported in ages, you should update it.

Check your disk space, is your /tmp or / full? Type df -h

Thanks for the reply. I will soon have the latest version.

I executed above command, the root is full.

Well then, that is the problem

Check the size of /var/log ( **du /var/log **) if something has filled the entire drive with logs and /tmp as well.

This thread does not appear to be about programming or scripting, it
would be better on another subforum.
