Malware out of the box

You wonder why people still go through the pain.

Microsoft finds malware on new computers in China | Nation & World | The Seattle Times

This is one of the downsides of pre-installed software with no install disk.

I’m sure the install disk would be the pirated version as well.

What! you mean secure boot isn’t secure!?! but … but… my Windows 8 machine has secure boot:’(

Isn’t amazing how no matter what MSFT does to secure their **** it’s not?

Not amazing at all. These computers were all using illegal copies of WIndows, and some included
a virus.

The secure boot system only protects the user if all the chain is trustworthy, any company is
able to create faked copies with secure boot if they so wish.
