I need to change the system variable MALLOC_CHECK to 1 to test a new eclipse version.
eclipse 4.12 is the last version that works in my opensuse leap 15.1.
In which file is defined MALLOC_CHECK?

Eclipse 4.15 CDT seems to be working.
With MALLOC_CHECK = 0 I can run eclipse 4.15.
Is it safe to leave it at 0?
