make suse sing and dance... literally

My research has come to a stump. The goal is to a visualizer for incoming audio. We all know that most media players, like Amarok, have visualizers that “react” to the music playing. I know that this has something to do with the LIBVISUAL package.

So, how would I direct incoming audio from mic01 to a audio visualizer? Theory poses that the use of JACK would be involved; which would probably also satisfy my want of several visualizers.

I plan to “paint” my bedroom walls with the four projectors I have… And, also make it a unique effect when I DJ at events.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Hei,

Perhaps not quite what you were looking for but an interesting programme never the less. I have no experience with it yet but have wanted to try it out for some time.

You’ll also find it packed from packman.

Cheers,

This thread also mentions the possibility of using Vamp plug-ins with sonic

yeah… I came across those. Unfortunatly, you still get the bars and graph stuff around it.

I intend it to be like eye candy that I full screen on seperate monitors.
