Make Plasma5 Not Ask For Password for Wifi [Disable Kwallet]

Hi,

Is there any way to disable kwallet on a fresh install. To elaborate:

I perform a fresh install of openSUSE KDE, and when i try to connect to the internet, it offers to save the password inside the wallet. Is there a way to disable this action, and make the system not save passwords in the wallet. But it’s then also necessary the system automatically connects to the networks and i hope this doesn’t mean typing the password everytime i boot, as with kwallet.

Thanks

You can use kwallet to store passwords without a master password. It’s obviously less secure but if you set kwallet and leave the password box blank, it will do it’s job without bothering you each time.

You can also tell plasma-nm/NetworkManager to store the password system-wide, in /etc/NetworkManager/.
Just click on the small disk icon in the password dialog’s text input field.

This will also store it unencrypted, but only readable by root.

It will also allow to connect during boot already (before a user logs in) if you’d want to.

Great, will do.

Thanks guys!
