Maintainance of a large set of suse11.0-based workstations

Hi,

I am a Prof. at a Danish University, and I plan to install Suse on all workstations in my laboratory. There are several workstations with not necessarily the same hardware.

Is it possible to easily maintain these machines and how?

There is also a commercial product that lets you run about 10 thin clients off of one pc. Sorry, the name escapes me but someone else will remember.
