mail notification in systema tray?

Hi.
I’m searching for a mail notification app which shows an alert in system tray when a mail (POP3) message arrives, but I can’t find any.
I used to use korn from kde3 but it seems no longer available.

any suggestion?

kmail has such an notification tool.

Assuming you use KDE and Kmail (but you better explain such things explicitly from the start to us mere human beings). I get such a notification.

From the Settings in Kmail > Configure Kmail, there is the second item from above (here it says Uiterlijk, do not know how it is in English) and there at the bottom I have checked Enable system tray icon.

That may be where you are after.

I use KDE and thunderbird.
Thunderbird does notify with a pop-up but if it is opened. I dont whant it to be always opened.
in KDE3 korn was a little app which simply checked for many mail accounts and showed a indicator in system tray whenever any of them had incoming mail, it did not download or red it (although it may be configured to launch any other program on incoming mail detected)

I’m looking for something similar as korn seems not to be available anymore.

Can I use kmail just as a notify app but no to send or read mail? (I use thunderbird for that)
