things I’ve tried
NOTE: the secure boot/nvram things I mentioned below were set during installation.
-
secure boot enabled/disabled + nvram enabled: I can see the grub screen but the screen blacks out after the timer runs down and then after awhile, I get the grub screen again (infinite loop)
-
secure boot enabled/disabled + nvram enabled: I am able to boot using recovery mode. I get a prompt (to enter password for recovery mode or press CTRL+D to continue). I entered the root password and ran journalctl -xb (as suggested by the recovery screen) but not really sure what to look for.
-
secure boot enabled/disabled + nvram enabled: So I boot again into recovery mode but instead of entering root password at the prompt, I pressed CTRL+D. And then I get a normal login screen. I logged in like I normally would. I can install apps, refresh repos and etc.
-
secure boot enabled/disabled + nvram disabled: does not boot at all (no grub screen)
Any ideas?
