LXDE

i’ve installed LXDE on my 11.1 earlier today, but it was too unstable, the panel kept crashing, and there was too much lag

now,i’ve installed 11.1 once again, with GNOME this time,is it safe to install LXDE,or is it generally unstable on openSuSE??

help,anybody?

There’s no official opensuse build of LXDE
I’m now trying to build LXDE in my home project
but no luck…
lxpanel will crash when setup appletes
but you can edit manually
LXDE is faster than GNOME and xfce in my laptop
I would like to use it as my default desktop
maybe this bug will be fixed when lxpanel o.4 released

yes,i’m using your version of LXDE,and the panel crashes on my Desktop as well

won’t opensuse release an official build of LXDE?:sarcastic:

I know I would very much like a stable LXDE. I’ve used it on KNOPPIX 6 and Mint x86_64 6, and I like it very much. Is it even in the repos?

I’ve been fortunate to have LXDE/openSUSE 11.1 installed and function smoothly on my Panasonic CF-51 laptop.
No such luck with my Desktop installation. Like several posters here, the panel keeps crashing and I haven’t yet figured out a recovery protocol.I’ll continue keeping an eye open here for a solution.

Please try lxpanel-0.3.999 to see if it crashes
Seem works for me.
