hello
i am new to openSuse & have just installed openSuse 12.1 x86_64 LXDE.
My old eyes struggle with small print and I have been trying without success to change the monitor resolution from 1680x1050 to 1440x900.
If this is a bug in the system, then I will find out where to post a bug report but there may be a simple answer.
Has anyone any ideas on how to set the monitor resolution in LXDE? Thanks in advance.
I read online and then in a terminal went root with the “su” command, then typed “lxrandr” and changed the resolution to 1440x900 and saved the setting.
The next time I booted the computer, I was again faced with the tiny print of 1680x1050. I have applied and saved the new setting x3 and rebooted but my new setting is never saved.
There appears to be a broken link between lxrandr configuration files and autostart maybe … Thanks for reading. Greeting to all openSuseusers
