I had the LUA based module system for HPC installed and working in 15.1, but sadly did not write down the procedure I followed to enable it. I let it lapse in 15.3 because I had access to the necessary software on another machine, and this carried forward through 15.5. Now in 15.6 I would like this capability back, and would hope to obtain it also in 16.0.
I installed the lua_lmod packages, but quickly discovered that the “module” command is not defined by them. This can occur by sourcing /etc/profile.d/lmod.sh in a terminal window, but I don’t remember this occurring before. Is this really the procedure? I suppose I could add “source /etc/profile.d/lmod.sh” to my .bashrc, but this really doesn’t seem very general.
Some general advice on how to get this module system working again would be appreciated
My apologies, there does seem to be a post on the German Forum about the lua-lmod system not working in 15.5, but I cannot read German.
